Guys I'm going to start working on the new graphics for the forums on Monday..I want you guys to come up with some general ideas of what you might like to see..
I was thinking along these lines

EP2&3-industrial (maybe portholes)with characters
EP4-6&1-Naboo and Tatooine achitecture (maybe kind of glassy looking) with characters
Roleplaying-???
Collecting-memoriablia type look
Lit-EU (I really need help on some visuals for this)
General Discussion-Something like Mel's dinner but maybe Raz's and have it look more Coruscant..
Suggestions-???
Testing-???
Q&A-????

I know this is vague right now..and it all depends on what kind of things I find to work with..but I thought we should start thinking about it..

Q and A have someone talking to someone else.

That's a good idea...Okay, Hopefully I'll get some good stuff together soon...I've started but nothing looks promising yet...

For testing have Luke turning with his first lightsaber.

If you mean training, like on the falcon with the blast shield that would be a great pic. For Expanded Universe maybe grab that widely used but stunning picture of Alderaans city. I'd be pushing my Luck if I asked for faces of EU characters right, like a college look with Xizor, Thrawn, Jade, Winter, Karrde, Daala, the twins. Role playing you can have maybe dice or playing cards or something that points to gaming.

For the testing forums, how about Luke "building" his first light sabre?

I didn't make a one word post.It was three words.And I called him Homer because on the Simpsons' Homer always says that.

Correct, you didn't make a one word post, but you made short humerous ones which is what I accused you of. I also said nothing of your choice of the name "Homer" being wrong, I only joked that we should call UBH that everytime he makes a one word post. By the way Dim, how's the EU pic coming?

On the Homer subject, I have no idea what you guys are talking about, so in the light of no longer confusing me, no more discussion on "Homer".

I was thinking for the Suggestions Forum you could have various pictures of people using comlinks in the background, like when Qui-Gon uses one on Tatooine and Threepio and Luke use one each on the Deathstar.

Wouldn't that be more for Testing?

Dim, I have several awesome pictures of Xizor. Short of mailing you one I have no idea how to get them to you. I don't have a scanner and as said before I am computer illiterate. If you want to e-mail me your mailing address I'll be glad to mail you a pic the old fashioned way.

Love it but just one small point. If you view the page at anything less than 1024 x 786 you loose the image.

As statistically around 55% of internet users use 800 x 600 it may cause problems. Only 28% tend to use 1024 x 768.

This is based on figures collected monthly by thecounter.com and is based on an average of 450million samples.

But the style is great, just too big IMHO.

I like it too but my screen is to small to fit the whole thing on,making me have to use the arrow.

It's very cool high tech and a drastic change from before, which was starting to grow stale. Yet what is it, and how does it relate to SW's and suggestions?

It's the underbelly of a ship...(I guess) I don't know...I just made it up!...I thought it reminded me of ship engines..or maybe it's cloning podes...take your pick.

Either way, its delightful, and its in affect too. BTW, looks like underbelly of an engine thruster to me.

So, does that bug you Xiz...I have to fix some stuff on it...it's too wide and the colors are bugging me...it's supposed to be sort of like a ship radar...a tracking type thing...

The OT/Ep1 has to be the easiest by far, there's so much to draw inspiration from.

For GDF you could have a Mos Eisley Cantina scene and I agree with Ratcat that everything is looking good. Better than I expected.
