Can anyone tell me how Lana and Louis Lane are related? Are they cousins or sisters or something like that?

Lana and Lois aren't related. In fact they don't have the same last name, Lana is supposed to be Lang, not Lane.

Their names are:
Lana Lang
Lois Lane
