Anyhow, um, yeah. Respect Metroid's most recurring/significant villain here. Like some other antagonists out there, Ridley's kinda proven himself to be a God among video game bosses.
Regardless of what my forum name may imply though, I'm still just a fan, not fanboy.
With that being said, I guess I'll post a good source of info about him and a youtube tribute/vid.
And I guess that's it for now. If this thread doesn't die quickly, I suppose I'll post cool pics of him from the Metroid mangas or something, but meh. Who am I kidding? This topic probably won't last long, just like all my other threads at KMC. If it happens that way, oh well. At least I know I tried ...
*sees that the Ganondorf thread has already gotten plenty of replies*

Let's see those pictures! Ridley is one of the coolest villains in gaming. Shame the only time he's the last boss is Zero Mission and that was a Mecha-Ridley that wasn't fully completed.
Well, now that I'm home, I guess I'll be able to make more in-depth replies to this thread (wish I had given it a better title though)...
Heh. Yeah. I pretty much feel the same way, as he's final boss material, so it's time he became one (and not just as some incomplete mechanical clone of the original). Still pretty cool though that there's both a Mecha version of him and Bowser (which appeared in that one theme park stage in Super Mario Sunshine, as you probably know).
Co-signed.
Um, 'k. Sounds fair enough.
True that , and okay. I'll go ahead and post some pictures now.
These ones I already posted in some other thread here (it was a villain-related topic in the VG discussion board), but I'll post 'em in this thread anyway. It's the appearances Ridley made in the Super Metroid manga.

p.s. I only posted the ones that had Ridley in 'em, so it may have not all made since. It didn't all actually happen one scan after the other. There were some in between that I skipped (like the part where Samus' dad sacrifices himself to blow up Ridley's ship), but those (along with what I posted, and then some) can be found on this link to view at your leisure.
Well, if you only typed in "Ridley" when doing the search, chances are, you didn't get much (if any) screenshots of the dragon from Metroid, and instead got search results of some other Ridley (like Ridley Scott who directed the alien movies or something). I saw some pretty cool images of Ridley when I was browsing google, but some of them may not be there anymore.
Meh. I don't know. Will have to check later (just before I start posting what "uber" pictures I can find ).
Aside circumstances, I see you made a Dark Samus thread. Guess I'll go pay it a visit in the meantime.

Should be plenty of cool pictures of him in the first 3 pages or so.
While I'm at it, here's a couple interesting fan-made images of him (which didn't appear in the google search) that I found sometime before on some Metroid website (I don't take credit for either of them, and it was a friend of mine that drew the 2nd one).
(notice the movie 300 reference at the bottom )
And lastly, we have Ridley's theme music (this one's a Metroid Metal remix. One of my favorite MM pieces) :
Heh. Nice...
I think I remember seeing one of those (on youtube) sometime before, but there seem to be a lot of 'em now. @_@
Anyhow, thanks for posting again.
