Leader of the Kremlins, King K. Rool is the arch nemesis of Donkey kong, first appearing in Donkey Kong Country for the SNES, he has been a constant threat to DK isle and has had many changes in his appearance, though he is royal he seems to have pirate roots, found in the final boss fight of DKC, on the gang plank galleon and then becoming Kaptain K. Rool in Diddy kongs quest, he often wears a crown of which can be used as a bowling bowl esq weapon, and has a blood shot eye, in many games he has show to be with and without a tail, in the beginning K. Rool wore a golden plate around his stomach.
Ah yes. He was the classic in Donkey Kong Country (the 1st one) and Donkey Kong 64 (though, his alter egos in DKC2 and DKC 3 were cool too). Good times...
I hope he makes it in Brawl.
He was also pretty funny in the Donkey Kong TV show they used to have (which was computer animated).

Yeah...
Diddy Kong Racing on the DS sure wasn't the same as the N64 version because of that (since there was no Banjo or Conker), but at least Nintendo still owns the rights to Donkey Kong.
Still, the DK series will never be the same again without Rare...
Handing Rare over to Microsoft was really a bad move by Nintendo.

DKC
Conker
Banjoo Kazooie
They could have had Viva Pinata as well
Rare have a certain spark to there games, something that adds that extra depth and satisfaction, DK games seem to be more beat and music related, I still say the best DK games are the platform ones, the first two country games and 64, I think that without Rare it losses its spark.
It's not like him or Ridley for that matter could not be implemented into brawl, and since they have many tactics within there villainy they would be fun to use.
Nintendo still has the rights to that. After all, the DKC trilogy was ported to the Game Boy Advance.
Like I said though, it's too bad Donkey Kong 64 wasn't ported to the DS like Super Mario 64 was.
Yep, and don't forget that Rare made other great things like Goldeneye, the Killer Instinct series (which was short lived), Star Fox Adventures, etc.
The DK games nowadays do, with Rare no longer being part of Nintendo and all. That really made the DK series go downhill from that point forward...
The first three Country games, you mean?
Indeed ...
Meh. I only played the first Banjo game for the N64 (forgot what it was called exactly), so I wouldn't know.
Indeed.
If he doesn't make it in Brawl though, I won't be completely disappointed since they still added Diddy Kong, but I would still like for K. Rool to be in too. I can see him having something to do with the Subspace Emissary.
Agreed.
