Thats right Mr. Nintendo himself is getting his own thread here I will be posting all of Mario's feats he has done outside of the Paper Mario series due to the fact that theres a seperate thread for Paper Mario even though IMO they should be in the same canon but thats a different discussion all together.
Strength- Ahh Strength. This is definitely something I don't think Mario is lacking in lets look at some feats.
In Super Mario world He was able to Lift and boost a castle and break another by jumping on it.
Durability If one thing is for sure it's That Mario can take a hit
In Super Mario Galaxy he has the durablitiy to be launched at high speeds from planet to planet, withstand the heat from magma http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_O5g6ry-Cw
and ground pound from amazing heights while taking minimal damage.
Dealing with gravity multiple times earth's gravity.

Speed- Something I see Mario constantly underrated for is his speed
Abilities- If there is one thing that's a trademark besides his jump it's Mario's Power-ups he has many ranging from flying to turning invisible to turning Metal,being able to use fire,Ice, and Thunder, but outside of these theres one more thing and that is Star Power.
With Star Power Mario is able to make power-ups (Bowser's inside story) power a star ship for flight (SMG 2) break barriers (SM64) and so on. The Star Power is also used to create planets and galaxies.
It's quite clear Mario is an expert on this stuff given how he uses it. and there is also a good canon explanation too.

Enemies- Outside of the Paper Mario games Mario has beaten some quite fearsome enemies

In Conclusion I believe although the Mario games don't emphasize on his canon he does have quite a bit of Canonical Power. ^_^
Get your hands on Super Mario RPG. It contains slight shape shifting, what in my experience has proven to be Mario's best jumping feat outside of possibly Brawl, and other feats.

Super Mario RPG is my favorite Mario game along with SMB 3 I just didn't think his jumping feats needed to be stated minus the 2 feats which are A. where he jumped off bowser's head in the beginning of the game and B where he jumped a mountain.
Oh and idk how shape shifting will help him tbh since he used it for imitations to tell stories xD
I would argue, but I'm biased because the original SMW was my very first video game, and boy did I love the crap out of it. I'm pretty darn sure I still have it, too.
