The Thing vs The Hulk

The version of the Hulk that I'm referring to, is the new one, of course, as the 2003 version would completely thrash the Thing. Now, as we all know, the new Hulk was underpowered a little bit, but still displayed some impressive feats, as did the Thing.

Who would you guys say emerges as the winner?

So, do you think that Thing would be able to get in any damage at all?

Personally, I think he could get in some good hits that could stun Hulk for a minute or knock him back, but this version of the Thing seems incredibly (no pun intended) slow, so even if he got in some good hits, it wouldn't be a lot of hits.

Hulk would indeed smash.

Yea, The Hulk seems a lot faster and more agile. I can't seem to remember what kind of durability feats the Thing had though.

I don't watch the Fantastic Four films a lot, but all I can remember are that he was able to stop a pick up truck dead in his tracks with his shoulder, bullets bounced off his rocky hide, and Doom's electricity didn't seem to hurt him too much. Other than that, I don't really remember anything regarding durability.

Funny how no one ever recalls anything from F4 II, must be because it was so crap. But still, there should be some feats that can be used from that.

Unrelated, but the Surfer does actually have some usable feats from that film. If only he had some strength feats, then a SS vs Supes topic would be interesting.

The Hulk.

The Thing did one decent feat, well two. Stopping the truck and rolling the car up. Besides that, he was sluggish, slow, just not a threat.

Why is Superman getting mentioned AGAIN?

It's the Thing Vs the Hulk. Nobody needs to mention Superman. Seriously, do you all have "S" on your bedsheets?

There are some strength feats, but the Hulk did greater overall. They're both durable, so it'd be a slug-fest, yet the Hulk does have the strength boost. So it stands to reason that in a prolonged fight, which this would most likely be, since neither is getting KO'd early, the Hulk would have the advantage.

I believe it's called "riding his nuts". laughing out loud

Anyway, the Thing lifted up that ferris wheel in the second FF movie, which was a pretty decent feat, but nothing the Hulk couldn't do.

It was the London Eye and both Sue and Reed were helping him.

Funny how we get in trouble for going off topic, but when a mod finds it funny it is alright.

Hulk wins.

Even if he is not stronger at the start, his anger amp will suffice.

He was faster. Thing in the movies was ungodly slow.

I would say that Thing is more durable, but it won't help IMO.

Hulk.

True, WD, you should really do the right thing and give yourself a 3-day ban. Look at it this way, you'll have 36 wonderful hours to play with your dolls.

Ben Grimm is cooler and funnier than the Hulk. The Thing wins.

(still Superman smacks around these two guys)

Do us all a favor and stop juicing Superman's nuts. Like seriously, every word out of you is Superman. I know you're a Mod and all, but it's really annoying, and I know you're not joking. Everyone knows the Thing will eventually lose because of the Hulk's ability to grow stronger as he gets angrier. How about you do us a favor and stop being a Superman fanboy?
