(I know this in't btw characters but this still typically is a vs match, just btw movies. Besides I can't think of a more perfect spot to compare movies in.)
Let me just start by saying that these two films were by far my most anticipated of 08.
Now before you condemn and crucify me hear me out. I don't think I need to go on and tell you how great The Dark Knight was........Casino Royale was fine and IMO the best Bond movie I've seen. And I thought Quantum of Solace had potential(title) but then I started hearing how this was just going to be another overhyped "action" flick. But after hearing reviews from CBn Forums some say this movie atleast matches its predecessor. I know it's unlikely but can Quantum of Solace upstage The Dark Knight(not profit-wise, but as a film)?
I very much like this thread idea, comparing films is a lot more interesting than "who would win" scenarios. Anyway, since Quantum of Solace isn't out yet here in the U.S., I obviously can't say which film is better, but I'll stop by here again after I see it. I probably won't like Quantum of Solace as much as The Dark Knight though, but we'll see.
I know what you mean. I was one of those that went to an early IMAX premiere to see it and when I left the theater I was shaking w/ adrenaline. But the more rave reviews I hear about QOS the more I think it will be the same. I just can't get past the fact that it's only an hour and a half long.
Thanks for approving of this type of idea though. I think we should see more of these kind of threads.
