The only thing shown to genuinely physically hurt the Beast was his own bones, IIRC. Think Angel still eventually killed him with one of his own bone daggers. Unless we assume that Logan's claws can harm beings with magical durability, the Beast beats his ass unconscious pretty quickly. The Beast also has some magic, and in another fight was easily manhandling Connor and Faith as well, if I recall correctly. And Angel, Faith and Connor all have Logan outclassed in pretty much everything except healing/damage soak.
