Pred honor prohibits ranged weapons against a melee armed foe anyways.

I wouldn't say beats the crap H2H. The last few films have done a much better job of showing the scale of the preds. The blade that the pred tossed was literally 3/4ths of that chick's height that got killed by it in Requiem. Especially if we're considering any of them, then the Predaliens might be even larger than the Engineers.
H2H should be close. With weaps I'd assume preds, since they'd also have camo and such, but we really don't know what the engineer's weaponry is like.
