I was so pissed they didn't fight, I almost stood up and boo'd, lol.
At any rate, I'd probably side with Marius, since David is more or less Selene before her snow people upgrade and arguably less skilled. And Marius wrecked her in their first encounter, iirc.

Good point about Marius and Selene's first fight. Would actually be interesting to know how pre-albinofied Selene and David's stats compare. She was sired by an elder and then got the Corvinus boost, and, IIRC, is older than David. But David is an actual pureborn child of an elder, who drank Selene's blood, which gave him similar enhanced abilities (like UV immunity) as well.
And yeah, I was pissed when they teased that fight, just to rip it away from us. Instead we got left with a fight that only ever had one outcome (at least David's unique sword might have given him a fighting shot against Marius). Because let's be real. Marius never stood an actual chance against end-of-film Selene. That final fight between them was pure plot-driven, with Selene still trying to get info about Michael. Then, once she finds out, she has her emotional montage moment, which gives Marius a chance to amp even further. And despite that, when Selene regained control of her emotions and finally stopped screwing around, she casually blitzed him and tore his spine out, killing him in essentially one move. And even earlier in the fight, we see that whenever she goes into full vampire speedster god mode, he can't keep up.
