Sinestro (Green Lantern 2011 film) vs. Magneto (Classic Fox X-Men film trilogy)
Two powerful combatants who were comrades towards the heroes at one point, but ends up turning against their closest friends to continue their goals, are about to clash in a fight to the death.
Sinestro didn't really do much from what I remember and despite the rungs being the same, the Lanterns aren't so their feats aren't really interchange.
Magneto pulls the metal from within a 5 mile radius and just messes Sinestro up.
While both capable of causing extreme damage, Sinestro wins this. He can create a projectile weapon and kill Magneto faster than Magneto can pull whatever metal happens to be around him to attack with.
Sinestro could if he wanted create a miniature artificial sun with the same gravitational pull as our sun right next to them and Magneto would have no defense from being pulled in and obliterated.
They are to a reasonable extent. Given they all have the same power and Sinesteo was hyped to be the top Lantern bar Abom Sur and Hal. And was clearly Hals superior when he was getting his basic training.
I can agree their feats aren't truly interchangable, but GL pushing Parallax into the sun is pretty wild. Also, this being the classic Fox trilogy only? Magneto didn't display the world wide influence he did in the newer movies. His best feat was picking up that bridge in Last Stand, and that took a lot of time.
Even if Sinestro is half as powerful as Hal is, he should straight up stomp here. That said, due to his lack of feats, there's no way I can really back that up so if you wanted to argue Mags taking the win, I can't really contradict any specific argument.
