There's no scale shown about how big species 8472 is in terms of numbers...All we know is they're from fluidic space...We have no idea if it is a comparable sized universe...We have no idea of their numbers.
In terms of one-on-one ship combat or comparable sized fleets i'd say that species 8472 could pretty much destroy any non God like species from the rest of the Star Trek universe.
