Watching through GT now.
At the point where Baby takes over Vegeta, and Trunks doesn't really get to do much but act as Pan's baby sitter, and every once in awhile Goku's support. Goku does most of the fighting, though.
He did get to pitch in on taking newly born Baby down, who was still stronger then Buu, but that could have been a tactic of Baby's instead of a genuine loss. All it took was about 3 ki attacks..

He was one of the few that actually fought off Baby's infection. Not an actual combat feat, but I like the way he powered up, with the sparks and all. Almost like SSJ2 
[SPOILER - highlight to read]: At the end of GT, he actually managed to buy some time against Omega Shenron with some blast while in his base form, IIRC.

Baby managed to take over Rildo while he couldn't take over SS Trunks that one time, so this could mean SS Trunks > Base Rildo > Majin Buu, right?
But it's actually more complicated than that, since Base GT Gohan held his own against SS Baby Goten, the latter being comparable at least to SS Trunks. When Rildo got revived in the Super 17 arc, he was beating Base Gohan. Though the GT Perfect Files say that Gohan hasn't neglected his training, and Gohan does appear to retain his "Ultimate" features, mainly the hairstyle. SS Goten was able to at least hurt Gohan, so if you take what the Perfect Files say seriously, SS Goten should be able to stomp Buu Saga SS3 Gotenks and SS GT Trunks would do the same.
