Mashiba also gained the benefits of moving up of weight class. Even if we admit that Miyata took some serious punishment on his Randy Boy Jr. fight he's still generally admitted not to be all that resiliant of a fighter.
Having more punching power is of more Benefit to Mashiba's style than it is to Miyata, so I'd give him the nod still.
