This was not what Chance Bodreaux signed up for.
An out-of-work Cajun merchant seaman from The Big Easy, he decided to act as a bodyguard for Natasha Bender (Yancey Butler), who is in town looking for her missing father, in exchange for her paying his seaman union dues.
Instead, he finds himself in the crosshairs of Emil Fouchon (Lance Henriksen) and his lieutenant, Pik van Cleaf (Arnold Volsoo, pre-Imhotep) and a motley crew of hunters. Now, getting those dues paid is the least thing he's worried about.
Staying alive and keeping Miss Bender in one piece is now his top priority. That and taking Fouchon and Pik to the pain.
Trivia: Hard Target was John Woo's first American flick. It's also the first flick you see Jean-Claude with a mullet.
