do you think that it is justifiable for a 38 yr old cop to taser a 12 yr old kid? personally, if the cop was in shape, he should've been able to chase her... especially after alleging that the kid was drunk.
Well, I don't think under-aged drinking and skipping school merrit the use of a taser gun. Besides, when the little girl out ran him, it wasn't like he didin't know that she could be tracked down other ways. If this little girl was shooting up a gas station, yeah, fry her ass.

NO ONE should be aloud to complain about the treatment they recieve for running from the cops. You aren't only endangering the lives of yourself and the cop, but also of other innocent people.
Granted nothing bad happened in this case, but if she ran into traffic and either got run over, or if a car ran off the road to avoid her....a much worst result could have occured.
Would letting a drunk kid run into traffic have been better? That's why he used the taser.

if you can shoot a 6 year old kid with 50,000 volts. Then you should be allowed to pump atleast 75,000 into a drunken 12 year old who is running away from the cops.
oh wait....lets make a bigger deal about this because she's a girl....

If the young boy who got tasered had of cut himself with the glass insted, the cop would have got in trouble or would have been accused of not doing enough.
If the young girl had run into traffic the cop would have been ridiculed for letting her run out there.
The cops can't win, they will be criticized for everything that they do.
End result, the boy has no permanent damage from cutting himself and the girl did not get killed by a car. They have no permanent effects left from the taser.

I was watching Cops like 3 weeks ago during the middle of the day, and in Portland, Oregon there were these two cops (male and female) patrolling the district of the city with a lot of clubs.
They turned the corner and there was this huge fight going on in the middle of the street between a group of people and the bouncers of the club. Some guy is getting pulled away and lead into the back seat of the squad car by some cops, while his girlfriend is face down being hand cuffed by the 2 other cops who arrived on the scene.
The girlfriend screams, the boyfriend breaks free of the cops, and tugs the female cop off the girlfriend. Then these 2 huge male cops take down the boyfriend, put the hand cuffs on him while he's on his stomache.....and just for good measure, the female comes over and says "don't you ever touch an officer of the law" while she promptly pulls out her taser and zaps his ass while he's already been restrained.
The guy busted his eye open on the curb while he was jolting around from the taser.
Funniest thing I think I've ever seen on cops...but it kind of make me think the female had gone too far. Granted the boyfriend should have never broke free and put his hands on the officer, but he had already got the rough treatment from the male cops....she was just adding insult to injury
that was funny. the thing i don't like about that is the female cop acting like she was above everybody. that was kinda sucky since the guy was already restrained.

actually, i don't know why i said the word "promptly" because she fiddled with the carrying case on her belt for like 3 or 4 seconds before she even had the taser in her hand.
And then afterwards the female and the male partner are sitting there telling everyone how this boyfriend brutally attacked the female and that she "had to" use the taser to restrain him. They kept insisting that it was necessary in front of the camera.
I don't feel bad for the guy because what he did was border line retarded, and I don't think being shot with a taser is THAT big of a deal. Atleast it wasn't a bean bag or rubber bullet.
now that they are selling tasers for civilian use, all you have to do is get one, and practice tasering your own kids for fun and for training, to toughen them up against the effects of the 50,000 volt jolt.
that'll teach those damn cops for trying to use non-lethal force to subdue your out of control kids!!
