Ignore lists
In another thread the subject of ignore lists came up and someone made a good point. How do some people reads threads and make any sense of them when they have very large ignore lists.
One member here has a list of 23 KMC members on their ignore list and more than half of those members (including me) are very frequent contributors or participants in this forum.
I could understand having one or two people who are disruptive or offensive on a list, but 23?! I mean if you are just putting so many people on that list because you don't like what they have to say, why even come here? And does sticking your head in the sand make things better?
I was just curious as to how many other people have someone on their ignore list, or how many they have on their ignore list, or even why?

Being on someone's ignore list has to be the best thing ever.
To be on their list you've probably done something to annoy them. When you're ignored, your posts just show up as a hyperlink that person would need to click on in order to read your posts.
In almost every case I'm guessing the ignorer clicks on the hyperlink to read the post just to know what's being said in the thread...so basically instead of ignoring them, they've just gone out of your way to read their post in particular.
I have 1 person on mine. some newer member Raz had me put on my ignore list. this guy sent me a PM introducing his self to me, said I looked nice and wanted to play. after I told him no and to back off, he was sending me PMs calling me a snobby whore.
It does but sometimes it is needed for certain reasons!jm

erm.... as far as i noticed... it is not stoping anyone from sending you PMs. it is just making them invisible in you inbox.
and after getting calmer you can read those PMs
