You can;'t really say, when the time is right - that gives no opinion whatsoever.
I think the troops should stay in Iraq now that they're there, until there is a proper government, and/or an agreement has been worked out with the freedom fighters there.

Some argue that giving an exact time table for withdrawal will allow insurgents to hold off internal attacks until then, so the withdrawal must be gradual and unpredictable.
Some say that's okay to give a time table; Iraqi police can handle them.
I love how you pretended to give an answer. I mean, isnt the war over when you pull the troops? So how could you pull the troops after the war if that very act is what is ending it? Another failed attempt by JM to try and look smart.

To leave now would be irresponsible, you can't go into a country, f*ck it around, and then bolt. Especially if you want their oil. Before they leave they have to change their policies and the way they do things.
I'm also pretty sure that when the U.S. sends troops into a warzone that they usually never ever really leave. I think that with some 14 or so basis established that there will always be an American military presence in Iraq.

*heavy sigh* yes i'm afraid you're right i hate to say it though.
we left a massive power vacuum and the only solution is diplomacy with the 'terrorists'. we cant just load our troops on plans and take off this second because a massive civil war would ensue. the death toll would increase exponentially and the end result would most likely be a fundamentalist dictatorship like was the case when we just said "aaaah f*** it" and pulled out of afghanistan, and also denying any aid. that directly led to the taliban taking power, and eventually us having to witness 9/11. thank you bush sr. thank you so much. before anyone attacks that, please understand that recent history has proven this correct. it was wrong for the u.s. to invade, but the can of worms is now open.
there really is no 'right' way to go about this since the entire situation is f***ed.
iraq needs security, NOT through military force, but rather through getting their tribes to cooperate, rebuild their infrastructure, aid them in forming an agreeable government, not just some puppet democracy destined to perish. and give them as much financial aid as necessary. fortunately for iraqis, (and a curse as well) they sit atop the second largest reserve of oil, so the resource to fuel their economy is there in abundance...our government can either allow their nation to flourish...or they can just continue to capitalise on the situation and bleed a nation in chaos for the sake of cheep oil...which seems to be what cheney has planned.
its just a very sad, dangerous, unfortunate, and most of all, UNNECESSARY situation those scumf***s have put us all in (americans and iraqis alike). i hope there is a hell so they can burn in it
as long as it takes to restore peace, the US terribly disruped iraq (even though it was ruled horribly before) but now people just have free reign to do whtever, ie. bomb cars etc.
so when the US fixes what it started then you can leave.
I think that this war is a big mistake of bush. But now americans can't leave Iraq. They opend this Pandora's box, and before they won't return real peace to the country (without holding a gun to the people heads) they have no moral right to go away.
