Margaret Thatcher was the best Prime Minister (apart from Winston Churchill) to lead Great Britain in history. Her economic and social policies changed Britain for the better in the 1980s and loosened the British population from the tight grip of successive socialist governments.

To be honest I quite agree with you....the few things I know aboot her really seemed to be the right thing....I wish we would get sa good leader like that once......(except for Adenauer but he doesn't count)
Once upon a time I adventured in the land of Britannia! But the land had been scarred from irreperable damage via nerfs and changes to the system. The world had split in two, Trammel and Felucca, and the Necromancers and Paladins came to power during my stay... I fled quickly, departing from what had once been a great kingdom.

WEll for those of us who remember public services before privatisation, decent health care (don't believe its improved I worked for the NHS), A set of values based far less on self and more on morality. Thatcher destroyed the education system with the introduction of the GCSE and coursework (so much so that employers implemented testing of their own). She taxed the poor and gave to the rich and for those that had their "bought" council houses repossed as they watched debts spiral well it speaks for itself. I could go on but she bores and upsets me. England wasn't a nation of shopkeepers till we had ones daughter as Prime Minister.
Destroyed manufacturing, created vast class divisions and hatred, Crime Spiralled and major towns rioted etc, etc, etc.
Racist policies, Bang em up tebbit etc, etc etc
Oh and she stole my free milk when she was in charge of education.

Health Care is something you should have to pay for...not bawsic stuff but it can't just b paid by the state, morality well....to be honest all this socialist ideas of morality that pretend to be for everyone but in fact just aid their own people and themselfs is sick....self interest shouldn't be seen as immoral. For the rest well I am not that knowldgable aboot your politics but I guess you could be right......oh and you don't deserve that free milk...pay for it you parasite.
The socialist idea of 'morality' is stripping the population of personal freedoms and making them sacrafice much of their life to the state. Privatisation was much needed in order to get Britian out of the gaping economic abyss in which it lay. Taxes could be cut... free enterprise could develop and incur personal responsibility.
Sure, maybe there was a little damage to the NHS, but it was needed in order to help Britannia in the long run.
I also remember going on marches with my parents shouting: "MAGGIE, MAGGIE, MAGGIE, OUT, OUT, OUT!"
