Page 3 is a British Magazine that is similar to Hooters in america, except they employ nice-chested women on the covers. Or, they actually are just... topless.
Page 3 is exactly what it is, page 3 of a newspaper in which there is a picture of a topless female.
It's only nice if you're:
A) A young teen.
B) Impressed by the boobs of a rather bland and normal looking female.
There's nothing wrong with this, I'm not raising these points as negatives. Just that I don't see the big deal with page 3 in both directions. I can't see what's so good, or bad, about it.

I think the question was whether or not the constant nudity of women in public spaces is degrading or not to women in general.
Female nude- and pornmodels actually get paid quite well, so well -shrugs-.
I suppose we're in a grey-area of sorts, with connections to trafficing and prostituion AND the lack of self-esteem among girls and young women who rush off to the plastic surgeon to get a breast-enlargement.
I just recall a couple of years ago when one of DKs leading tabloid-papers instead of the daily topless girl, had a naked man! The uproar, the drama, the shouting...
NOT from women, mind you
So I guess the question to the male viewers are: Would you mind an equally "scantily clad" MAN appearing on the page opposite the half-naked woman?

Who knows these things? It’s just a fact that there are far more magazines telling women how they should look – beauty magazines, nudity-pictures, porn-magazines, than there currently are for men.
This – unfortunately – has an adverse effect on the self-esteem of girls and young women, who may end up believing it’s ALL about looks and endowments.
Neither gender benefits from that…

There are tons of male advertisements that do just what you are saying in the end here..........scantilly clad males are all over marketing pieces in the USA....
If not reading a hype, hysteria and down right idiotic mentality driven tabloid (such as The Sun) makes me a snob, then I will shine that badge up and pin it to my bare skin with the pride of a thousand victorious generals.
Believing that paper to be anything other than a societal minus is something to be ashamed of.
there is another phrase very similar to the PC term its BS Oh and I wish US would lighten up about breasts as well.........come on they are just for feeding babies (and keeping men interested in a conversations about shopping) they're natural
the funniest thing about page 3 now is that they get the models opinions on the other news stories of the day...that shit usually cracks me up cause its just total made up rubbish
