Anyone noticed that with topics the likes such as "What's it like to be White person?" and "The Spanish are chubby chasers." and (what I percieve to be) a decrease of intelligent/interesting/informed comments that the GDF has pretty much gone down the crapper?

I disagree, it had some very enjoyable debates and a lot of intelligent people posting in it. But lately it is true that the new wave of morons is pretty moronic. Actually looking at the first page of the GDF I could swear that could be a page in the OTF as well.

Last time I posted here, before I left for a few months or so, it was pretty much the same... There are debates and there are threads that probably don't really belong here
I've had some very enjoyable debates in the OTF as well as the GDF, they're pretty much the same except most of the people in the OTF are total morons and most of the people in the GDF are pretentious bastards. Both forums are slowly merging now though.
The most enjoyable debates I had in the OTF was with people that frequent the GDF.
I don't know what you mean with pretentious bastards though, they are just arguing about thinks that might matter slightly more than why your boyfriend didn't like your make up.
Little do you know that the first page of the GDF today looks just like the first page of the GDF of 2003. Nothing has changed, the GDF isn't just for political debates, it's always been about anything and everything, just a slightly smarter version of the OTF.
Surely you must have noticed that a lot of people in the GDF talk about subjects as if they know everything about them when they're actually decidedly ignorant... It might my just my interpretation but whatever really.
That is certainly true, but you can't really generalize that on everyone. And I think the reasonable people are predominant actually.
Well, I don't know about 2003, but I know about the time I was here and it seems to me that during that time it was mostly for serious topics than bullshit. And since we do have an OTF for bullshit we could use it as such, right?
