O.k, this may sound dumb, but could somebody explain to me what is up with the playstation 3. Why does everybody want one so badly. I mean, ps2 was cool, and when it came out everyone bought one, but why is there this sudden "camping out infront of kmart" to buy one. For 600 dollars. I kid you not. 600 dollars. My god. About 50 kids have missed school for the pst 3 days because they've been camping in line. Maybe I missed something but why is this so special?
They will be sold here at midnight. People have lined up yesterday in the rain and snowy weather. I believe they may feel if they buy it now then they could turn around and sell it for more and make a profit. Though I would never ever buy this thing for my kids.....It is soooo ridiculous.
The one store here only has 6 available, yet the people in line do not know this..........hehe.....and the first 6 will be escorted by management..........Protection ya know.
Of course the people in line don't know exactly how many are available, releasing that sort of information is just asking for the store to be robbed.
And the PS3 went on sale today...well, midnight last night, to be precise. By now there probably isn't a single one left for sale outside of Ebay in the entire country.
I know, and it's been like that since preorders were first sold. We were talking about the sheer stupidity of people who will pay that much last night (I work in a video game store). Because, you know, it'll really kill someone to wait a couple months for another shipment to come in.
