Looks crap TBH. But Dr G, in the second video I think says it looks like he knows what hes doing and it looks like its real but he isn't completely sure because he hasn't studied it.
just an more extreme way of physiotherapy, and then we have Naprapathic treatment which build on chiropractics treatment but take it a bit further.
It has been around for a long time but good "ol fashion doctors" looked on those who performed it as voodoo doctors and worse, and its just in the last 30 or so years it has become more "mainstream", even today a lot of doctors are against this form of "manual medicine", but then again they are against alternative medicine and treatment as well. They consider it bogus, just like they view acupuncture, who actually have worked fine for the Chinese medicine for thousands of year

the first video is absolute crap and the one with the japanese doctor seems irresponsible and dangerous. When well trained, and performed gently, chiropractors can perform miracles and i know cause in my opinion, mine is the best. If i may ask, why was this topic started?

have you ever been to a good one? cause physiotherapy alone i've found is slow and leads to insufficient recovery and all doctor's do is perscribe opiates.

Thats kind of the situation with my doc, before she entered chiropractic she spent quite a few years as an orthopedic surgeon at John Hopkins which is also where she got her degree. She then went into physiotherapy, then chiropractic.

Its not that there isn't good chiropractic, its that there is no real standardized practice by them. I'm sure there is good chiropractic, but then there are those who claim that all disease can be cured by spinal manipulations. Since I am not an expert in human anatomy or whatever, I kinda have to just assume that the person performing any work on me knows what they are doing, and there is no guarantee with a chiropractor that they will use real and scientifically proven techniques.
I think there is some kind of chiropractic certification
but my point is that the practice of chiropracty itself doesn't conform to scientific standards. One can practice very good chiropracty, and not good science.
I've had Chiropractic Treatments. I found them beneficial. I am always into alternative therapies and medicines. The more natural the better, in my view. The Far East seems to be more advanced in certain techniques than the West, but we are less resistant than we used to be some 10 years ago. At one time it was considered a facade to take on something outside of modern medicines, but as more and more people get well from alternative medicines and practices, the acceptance of things are growing.
well, from what i gather, statistics say that chiropractic helps with faster recovery and a much lower rate of permanent disability than other treatments but just like the equally successful acupuncture, the scientific explanation of its success is still a work in progress. Although with chiro, i just kind of assumed that it was just a manual correction of minor and major dislocations, therefore unpinching nerves, restoring bloodflow, and forcing your muscles to relax. Manually doing what doctor's would accomplish with ibuprofin or a crortizon shot.
