MP3 Swap Meet

This was done a while back, but you actually had to go out and buy an album from an artist you might not normally listen to.

This however, wont cost you a dime.
Let's all suggest an MP3 to download, where we can then share our comments.

Gives us a way to understand each others musical tastes.

I'll go first, of course wink

Song: Cash Car Star (regular version, not version I)
Artist: Smashing Pumpkins

(Available on Kazaa or here :http://www.smashingpumpkins.com/lofi/M2pgLOFI.html
big grin cool Happy Dance cool big grin

Hmm, I need to download Kazaa again. It was deleted when my computer got a virus back in May-June. Luckily, my MP3s survived. smile

Song: Star Wars Gangsta Rap
Artist: Weird Al

Actually Star Wars Gangsta Rap was not done by Weird Al.

That was done by somebody else, I've listened to it and it is no Weird Al.

Lots of people must like Dimmu cause their were a bunch of songs available, I downloaded "Puritania"

I ****ing love the loud guitars and mix, it sounds like he has some violins, bells and a pipe organ in there somewhere, sounds really awesome!!! but that computer sounding devil voice is too scary for me.
I'm gonna have to sleep with my parents tonight.wink

I'm going to investigate Dimmu Borgir some more smile

Is that the kind of music you mostly listen to Mah?
Your gonna go deaf by the time your 25!laughing out loud

Ever seen Dimmu live? Is he a guy or is that the name of the band?
Norweigan Death Metal?
All the songs in English?
Whats your favorite Dimmu song?

You got an MP3 you'd like us to hear Finti, Lance?

Star Wars Gansta Rap is by Weird Al Lance, you probably heard the Dave Chaney Remix.

ok tex, answering questions-time here then.

"Is that the kind of music you mostly listen to Mah?"
I listen to every possible genre with the exception of country and euro-trance/-dance. the one I listen to the most is electronica, but on second is hard rock, yes. dimmu borgir is my favourite death-metal band.

"Ever seen Dimmu live? Is he a guy or is that the name of the band?
Norweigan Death Metal?"
Death Metal yes. Dimmu Borgir is the name of the band, 6 members I think. Unfortunately I havent seen them live..have a live-cd of them though. they have also had concerts in the US actually.

"All the songs in English?
Whats your favorite Dimmu song? "
no, in the beginning they had norwegian lyrics, now they only make english ones.
my favourite song is Dreamside Dominions. or 'The Insight and the Catharsis' which takes things to another dimension. awesome.

---Smashing Pumpkins - CashCarStar: as normal with smashing its good. one of their better actually; its got a good melody and cool guitar playing. nice. your favourite?

I would be doing this, but I don't have an MP3 program on my comp, and my dad would probably kill me if I download anything onto his computer. He says it slows everything down too much.

Unless you guys could show me a way to hide the program and how to permanently delete the songs later.

Well you can download my Smashing Pumpkins MP3 right from the site, and just delete it later, no P2P software required.

But your probably going to need a P2P music sharing program if you want to participate like you said.
But since it means certain death at the hands of your dad, I'd just opt not to.

Do you have a song you'd like us to hear anyways?

and yup Mah, Cash Car Star is one of my favs. Dont have just 1 of coursewink

Anyone have another song?
