R.I.P. Kim Peek

For those that don't know who he was....he was the man that inspired the movie Rain man.

The news of his death was delay and it was buried (no pun intended) during the weekend.

I saw the documentary of his life and brought tears to me eyes. An incredible human being with an incredible mind. A human computer with a golden heart.

R.I.P. Kim.

I remember seeing a documentary about him too...Called "The real rain man" or something similar. Was quite interesting to see. If I remember right, his elderly father looked after him and he worried that he wouldn't last long after he (the father) passed away because he was completely incapable of looking after himself. Probably for the best that he died before his father.

Shame though.

He could read one page in about 5-10 seconds and remember 90% of it (verbatim). Amazing. I wish I could do that. sad
