Julianne Moore claims founding fathers would've supported gun control

I always wondered just how airheaded and dumb some Hollywood actresses actually are. The red-headed Julianne Moore seems to be one of the more stupid ones:

They tolerated it for a while. There's a difference. They still won our freedom from the Brits and created our republic. It's crystal clear that founding fathers thought a citizen's right to bear arms was an inalienable God-given right that should never be taken away. Julianne Moore is wrong. Our founding fathers would've never agreed with gun control.

Can we stop using the Founding Fathers as Divine judgement on matters. Let's look at them what they were. Smart people for their time and they were people with various backgrounds and opinions. It's not like they agreed on everything among themselves. The thing they were really good at though was compromise and learning from past mistakes. Perhaps that is the trait we should focus on more than what each individual founding father would have thought about gun control in the modern era.

^LOL. Yeah, exactly. They aren't exactly the brightest people in the country and Mrs. Moore just proved that with her ridiculous statement. Whatever a person's opinions on gun control are to say that the founding fathers would agree with it is pretty rolling on floor laughing worthy.

The world we live in would have been inconceivable to the founding fathers. Forgive for not really caring if we correctly interpret what they'd think about modern gun control. We might as well ask them their thoughts on internet regulation. The insights of the modern world, and the data we have that can inform our opinions on the matter, is infinitely more useful.

He said nothing of the sort. NJ's post represents the closest thing to a bipartisan olive branch this thread is likely to see. At least pick a more worthy post to mock.

To be honest I think most people don't really care what Julianne Moore has to say either way.

LOL. WTF is people's problem who don't like the topic of a certain thread but still feel the need to come into it just to show their stupidity by saying "Who cares?". LMFAO. Apparently, you cared enough dude or else you wouldn't have have taken time to click on thread, come into it, and ask that idiotic troll question. IF a person isn't interested in a thread then they shouldn't click on it. Is that so ****ing hard to comprehend? Maybe people like that are missing a few cards in their deck I guess is the reason they can't understand that... Whatever. I'm not going to bother reading anymore of their troll posts they might make again in the future when I post a thread. There's a special list I have for people like that. smile

People also overlook what is possibly the most important contribution of the Founding Fathers: the ability to change things if we need to.

They knew they couldn't predict all the needs of a nation, especially one that would last long after their deaths. Regardless of your stance on gun control, the Founding Fathers' opinions on that issue means very little. We decide what's best for us now. They're dead, and we can continue their work by improving on what they started.

LMAO. OF course libs are getting tired of hearing about the founding fathers because they're all pieces of garbage that hate America and what it stands for. Most of them prefer god**** socialism over capitalism and probably haven't even served their country a day in their life in the military. They wouldn't know the first thing about serving their country.

Founding Father's opinions>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Lib's opinions. thumb up

ALWAYS. Get used to it, Libs. You don't like it? Tough ****ing shit. Perhaps you should move your butts to another country if you don't have any respect for our founding fathers. thumb up

What is more respectful than trying to take their work to the next level? The level they couldn't live long enough to see?
