It's not really news that US media outlets are biased one way or the other. It's common knowledge. The problem arises when people don't make a connection between the political bias and the stories printed/broadcast.

Course it is. Spin doctors have been telling papers what they can and can't print for years. If a paper is about to print something a government official doesn't want them to the "media relations" team basically tell the reporter they'll never get access to the politician again.

That's what I just said. It's happened for decades. It's not exactly a big secret. If the press were legally obliged to be impartial it would be an issue but the media in the US can take any political stance they want and get input from the candidates they back if they want.
