most of these federal agencies have some sort of purpose and some of them fulfil vital roles that benefit america..... like we obviously need a chemical safety board... companies will not regulate themselves. and having agencies which promote arts, education and research are vital to our world image and obviously provide benefits. and why would you cut an agency meant to reduce homelessness??? not to mention that many of these programs make up a very small percentage of the federal budget.... and these programs are being cut to increase spending on the military budget which is very big already...
although i am not surprised that the united states institute for peace has gone. trump won't have any need of that with his plans.

Do any other agencies have crossovers in what they provide to citizens? I really don't know but it would be worth looking into if you are concerned about the loss of services/agencies.
I was thinking the same thing. I'm pretty sure there are several agencies promoting the same causes as the ones listed above. It would make sense to trim the fat a bit.
If education was truly that vital we'd be hearing more news outlets talking about the state of New York getting rid of literacy tests for teachers.

well he is totally eliminating funding for all these agencies.... so its a little more than trimming the fat. he's also seriously cutting other agencies. so don't think some other agency will swoop in and be able to do the same jobs that these abolished agencies done. some problems need special focus which is why unique agencies are set up for them.
like if you seriously think that trump is doing this for a noble agenda to cut waste in the budget then you are wrong. clearly getting rid of the chemical safety board is a move to benefit his rich buddies and nothing else. also as i've said these agencies are very small and getting rid of them will do very little to the deficit... especially when trump is increasing military spending which would easily cancel out all money saved. this is just about abolishing agencies he doesn't like.

Got to find the billions he's promised to give to billionaires from somewhere. Can't have poor people using vital resources on such trivial things as eating and staying alive when there's 300ft yachts to buy.
