 I have a BETTER tax plan. All Working Adults Get $1,000,000 Tax Free.
It will only cost less than 1 billion dollars instead of $330 BILLION which will wind up costing $800 BILLION.
Give every adult in the U.S.A who is 21 years and over $1,000,000 tax free, lien free, penalty free, garnishee free. Every adult.
The requirement? The adults have to be a U.S. citizen (born or nationalized); have to be working but make no more than $100,000 per year; have worked and was layed off (the unemployment benefits would be stopped after receipt of the $1MM); on welfare after the unemployment runs out (welfare would be stopped after receipt of the $1MM).
Disqualification? Adults who lived their entire lives on welfare and are still on it; non-citizens; convicted criminals who are incarcerated; life long convicted criminals who have never worked; people making more than $100,000 per year.
There can be some modification of the tax plan for those making $100,000 or more but they don't get the lion's share of funds.
This plan can help the economy because the people will spend the money. Especially the poor and the middle class. The money goes back into the economy. Wealthy people don't put the money back into the economy. If anything the money disappears and most likely disappear out of the country and the economy.

It may be very possible. But maybe he is his happiest the way he is.  Some people are like that. So while spoil it. Maybe it will make him MORE unhappy and that he would probably like.

I wouldn't be able to anything... the dollar would plumet and the Macdonalds 99 cent menu would be a $100 menu, a shirt would cost over $1000 dollars. but it's nice to dream.

...though quite why a silly plan like this is being floated I do not know.

btw, Mechgoggy is you are over 21 and a citizen of the U.S. you will be eligible for the $1MM.
Ush, my dear, I didn't say that it would cost the entire $1 billion. It would cost about half of it at most. But most of the money will absolutely filter back into the U.S. economy because working people will spend it mostly and invest the rest. The wealthy 1% of the population never help the economy. They main send their money out of the country and tie it up in investments that don't benefit the country overall.

How many people of adult age in the U.S. who are citizens? Plus... there are 300 million people who are citizens in the nation. Calculate it out and you have the answer.

Well, MW, I would say at least 100 million would be eligible and so your plan would cost 100 million times a million which is:
x10= a thousand million, or billion
x100= ten billion
x1000= a hundred billion
x10000= a thousand billion
x100000= ten thousand billion
x1000000 (a million)= a hundred thousand billion.
That's a BIT much for the treasury. MW is clearly no economist. Though she is, apparently, a Keynesian.
