There's that whole "protesting too much" thing. People that are guilty of something will often shout the loudest about how terrible it is, and try to use it as a kind of shield.
It saddens me that even with all this going on, Hollywood isn't likely to change. A system exists in which these people are allowed to flourish, whether they're preying on children OR adults, with little to no accountability. Yeah, people will say "but they got Weinstein", but nobody talks about all the people that enabled him, and to me they're just as guilty.
I find the enablers to be far more vile. The worst thing is, they never would have come forward if their careers didn’t tank. It’s when they became has been that chooses to cry wolf. And like the story of the boy who cried wolf, after a while, no one will care.
The thing is, it's the Me Too'ers making the worst of this lol. And that is just god damn gold. Sure some will try to dismiss MeToo over this, but far more damage is being done by the proponents of MeToo.
