More to the point, why would anything Trump has said magically negate the behavior of Comey, his subordinate, and the media?
I know the implication can't be "this behavior is negated cuz trump said a thing" and yet...that genuinely seems to be the implication.
I am reminded of when people would point out pro China statements from Trump in response to any conservative criticizing China's handling of wu-flu. Of course those statements came from before we knew the full extent of what China had done, but meh facts schmacts.

They certainly changed their minds about Michael Cohen. Special rules?

So everything Cohen says about Trump is a lie? Gotcha. Cuz he can't have been a liar before and truthful now, otherwise there was a change.
Good
