wot does it mean wen theres a line thru the thread title...does it mean that its "expired" or sumthing?

yup, a mod or admin can open it again and post something and afterwards close it again

Basically if a thread is deemed unsuitable for viewing, causes tension or has been duplicated etc, then a authority representitive of KMC will close the thread down, a small padlock icon and the aforementioned line indicate the thread has officially been closed and cannot be replied too.
