OK say I got a picture I really like I wanna use for my desktop and its too small to cover the desktop.
how can I enlarge it without it getting all blurry? a program thats FREE is preferrable of course.

Well, u can't do it in irfanview, but using photoshop or PSP is possible..

It depends on the resize type.. linear, bicubic, pixel...

no matter what u do, when u enlarge a pic, the quality WILL drop.. the algorythms (bicubic,linear etc) can help alleviate the loss in quality but the larger the difference in size from the original, the worse it will look..
Quality resampling software, that allows for enlargement of pics without noticeable quliaty loss, is worth thousands of dollars..

Yes, u can't keep same quality... but the question is how noticeable the difference is... Of course u can't enlarge 100 x 100 to 1024 x 768.....
