Links rendered useless by random code

At first I thought it was just a certain URL I tried to post, but now I notice that most longer URLs that are posted at KMC, a random "<br />" inside the link, therefore rendering it useless. Thought I'd bring it to someone's attention, it happened again in the GDF when trying to post this link:

Yup, its a known problem.

The only workaround for now is to use something like tinyurl.com
