A few weeks ago, I went to a different message board and it mentions the life of the Bride, of how she meet Bill, how he trained her through which she was reunited with her daughter, can someone help me sorted out the timeline of this movie!
She met Bill
Got trained by Mei
Got pregnant
Left Bill
Church assassination
Wakes up
I think she gets her sword before visiting Vivica because she writes her list on the plane and her list is already made when she kills Vivica. Confuses me though why she doesn't use her sword on Vivica.
Kills Vivica A Fox
Kills O-Ren
Budd shoots Uma
Budd and Elle have there whole ordeal
Uma Fights Elle
Meets up with Bill and BB

I've been trying to figure out why Nicki is the same age as BB.
In order for Vernita to have a daughter who was at least four years old when the Bride confronted her, Vernita would've had to have been at least three months pregnant at the church massacre "four years and six months" earlier. She sure didn't look it.
She didn't have her sword yet because she hadn't gone to Okinawa yet to have it made. She took Buck's truck to the Bells' house, so she couldn't have spent too much time pussyfooting around (so to speak), or the cops would have picked her up in the dead man's vehicle.
Oh well, I guess I'm asking too much reality from this movie....

Thats what I was trying to figure out but she didn't make the list until she was on the air plane. So I think she went to Okinawa first because when she got back into the pussy wagon, the list was already made to cross off Vernita's name. So either QT messed up and put the list in a scene before she ever actually made it, or she went to Okinawa and came back to kill Vernita without the sword.

She killed O-Ren first, chronologically... QT just showed her going after Vernita first, because thats a Tarentino specialty, showing things all out of order, thru flashbacks and such, just to keep it twisted. Yes, she stole Buck's truck after waking and escaping the hospital, but her first mission was to kill O-Ren, so she must have stashed the truck before her flight to Japan...
if you have the DVD you can tell better, because the 3rd scene, the Vernita meeting, is titled Chapter 1: 2, because Vernita is second on her list of things to do, people to kill...
so the actual timeline is... Volume 1 stuff (mostly)
She met Bill
Got trained by Mei
Got pregnant
Left Bill
Church assassination
Wakes up
Kills O-Ren
Kills Vernita
(volume 2 stuff, mostly)
Budd shoots Uma
Budd and Elle have there whole ordeal
Uma Fights Elle
Meets up with Bill and BB
I haven't seen part 2 yet, so the actual order of that stuff is up to your interpretation...

Probably connected to some ancient shogun ritual about a sword crafted for revenge must only be unsheathed to draw blood, never to be used in any further acts once the goal of vengeance for that weapon has been met?? she went to Japan to face Oren, knew she would need Japanese steel for the confrontation, so had the sword crafted by the master, used it in her lot of vengeance against Oren, then stashed it, or left it with the master... (again, haven't seen volume 2, so don't know if the sword pops up later or not, but I'm guessing not...)
: she kills Oren on Oren's turf, with Orens weapon of choice, the samurai sword... kills Vernita on Vernita's new home turf, with Vernita's weapon of choice, the knife, even though Vernita cheated by using a gun... who knows how the battle would have been fought had it gone down on the field as planned, during the night knife fight... as said, havent seen part 2 yet but does she shoot Budd, the guy who shoots her? but I have read how she kills Bill, and that is also symbolic of Bill's 'weapon of choice' (meaning the way he attacks the heart as much as the physical body)

Big spoiler if you haven't watched it.
: She still has the sword when she goes after Budd. But she doesn't even kill Budd, Elle does. She fights Elle with Budd's sword but does she take her sword back from Elle or not when she plucks out her eye? I don't remember. Whoa. Almost forgot to put the
part in there.

Yeah, you can see her with the sword on her back when she exits Budd's trailer. And remember that there is a screenshot of the sword on the passenger side seat of the car she's driving while she's driving out to Bill's.
shit if i was in a fight with the bride i'd wanna be packing enough heat to take down a small army.

Yeah it's on her back when she goes to Bill's apartment.
If she hadn't seen B.B.... and then talked to Bill (having been shoot with Truth Sirem by him) she probably would of had a big fight there and then I guess.
