movie profanity
name the film with the most swear-words
for my money, its a tossup between Goodfellas or Scarface.
Here's a twist to it - how many swearwords have your hurled at a particular film?
In my case, it was Matrix Revolutions - eg. Get me outta the m.....f...ing, c...ing cinema before i f......g murder someone!!!! F..K!

Pulp Fiction used to be the king of swearing in movies...but south park beat it out considerably. I think about 350??

Pulp Fiction is definately up there... any sort of mafia/heist movies, and of course South Park, but if Ozzy Osbourne ever makes a movie, that'll take the cake!

According to the IMDb:
"('South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut') contains 399 profane words (the word 'f**k' appears 133 times), 128 offensive gestures and 221 acts of violence."
"(In 'Pulp Fiction',) The word 'f**k' is used 271 times."
"('Scarface') uses the word 'f**k' 206 times, a record at the time."
"The F-word is used 246 times in ('Goodfellas')(mostly by Joe Pesci).

I'm going to have to go with South Park..........I mean, damn......how can any movie compete swear wise when you've got songs like:
Shut you fu cking face uncle fu cker
You're a boner biting bastard uncle fuc ker
You're an uncle fuc ker this is true
Nobody fu cks uncles quite like you

Also South Park is considerably shorter than those other films, so you get more "bang for your buck."

While it's not exactly proper English, explictives really cheapen movies for me. The movies mentioned above, of course, I'm not a big fan of.
A good example of a movie that could have benefitted from a curse word crackdown is "Day of the Dead".

How about Bad Santa? I'm sure it doesn't beat out South Park, but it has quite a few

Profanity does cheapen a movie a bit. QT i give credit for using swearing in Pulp Fiction and Resevoir Dogs because the story is about lowly criminals and its probably true that they use alot of swearing when talking. South Park on the other hand was completly out of hand.

That was kind of the idea, though. The kids learned swearing from the movie, which was rated "R" and not intended for kids. Stone and Parker have often said that their show is intended for mature audiences, and the parents who complain should just wield more control over what their kids are watching instead of condemning Stone and Parker's right to free speech.

He's saying that most of the swearing in "Matrix: Revolutions" came from violently disgruntled movie patrons.

I think Tarantino takes the cake on this one. And, the movie wouldn't be the same without it.
