What movies do you remembered from your 80's childhood?

For me:

" The Dark Crystal".
" The Last Unicorn".
" The Secret of N-I-M-H".
" Howard The Duck".
" Oliver and Company" ( I still remembered seeing this movie in theaters 3 times when i was 6 back when the movie was originally released).
" Transformers: The Movie".
" Labyrinth".
" The Princess Bride".
"Return to Oz"
" Willy Wonka".
" Making Contact" ( A cool German made horror fantasy from Roland Emmerich about a child with psychic powers battling an evil dummy).
" Return of the Jedi".
" Legend".
" The Neverending Story".
" Big Trouble in Little China".
" The Land Before Time".
" Spaceballs".
"Willow".
" Little Shop of Horrors".
" Flight of the Navigator".
" Tron".
" Krull".
" Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade".
" Honey I Shrunk the Kids".
" Who Framed Roger Rabbit".
" Batman".

Well, many of my favorites wouldn't be considered "best" of that era (e.g. I have fond memories of movies like "Popeye", "Clash of the Titans" and "Death on the Nile", which had relatively little critical acclaim).

For a long block of years, I usually associated a specific year with the BIG movie that I saw:

1976--Close Encounters of the Third Kind
1977--Star Wars
1978 & 79--??? (more memories of TV, specifically "Mork and Mindy")
1980--The Empire Strikes Back
1981--Raiders of the Lost Ark
1982--E.T.
1983--Return of the Jedi
1984--Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
1985--Back to the Future

Your Fav movies as a kid

Hey everyone,

My husband & I are moving to our first house, and I was packing up a whole bunch of stuff we had packed away, when I came across a load of movies I used to watch as a kid. Man, those are memories! I was wondering if anyone had seen these, or remembers others, as I'm pretty sure I've seen more than what is on this list, but I don't have that kind of memory! I put them in order of my preference!

The Goonies
Labyrinth
Care Bears 2 - A new Beginning
Rainbow Brite (all movies the same)
Honey I Shrunk the Kids
Alice in Wonderland (Disney)
Back to the Future (whole series)

There's more, but I'm at work, and they're at home, and like I said...my memory... wink

It's a tough choice, but my favorite as a kid was either The Village, Saw, or The Incredibles.
