Lovely by surprise review!
"The greatest surprise for me is the VERY strong sexual and emotional chemistry portrayed between Marian (the lovely Carrie Preston) and Jackson (Austin Pendleton)."
I found this review for the upcoming lovely by surprise flick and couldn't believe it!
check out the trailer

geez - I can't believe that someone has posted something for this movie... I was totally going to do it myself! I checked out the trailer and it looks very cool... ensemble cast, seemingly smart plotline, beautiful look.
I did some searching and saw that it's going to be premiering at the Seattle Film Festival. I wish I lived on the west coast! Check the festival website

looks good - great cast
Did you see it? What is with that boat in the field. It's excellent. Where was this shot?
The IMDB for this movie shows an awesome cast. Old School (not the movie, but actual Old School) Austin Pendlton and Kate Burton and RICHARD MASUR! Combined with new talent like Reg Rogers and Michael Chernus and Dallas Roberts. And of course, Carrie Preston, who we've seen before, and is wonderfultastic. And the cinematographer is the same guy who did Brick, which was a gift from the heavens.
It looks creepy and dark and funny. I'm in.

don't know about NotNeg, but I've been following this movie for a while since seeing a trailer for it last year. another movie I've been following is "King of Kong", a documentary about the pursuit of the highest score at Donkey Kong.

ok full disclose: I'm not an advertiser, but I did work on the crew for this movie. I found this board doing a search for the film.
I'll just say this: I work on a lot of pretty lousy movies, that's just the way working in film goes, and it's rare that I get involved with one that I legitimately like, and believe in. I think this movie is interesting, and strange, beautiful and intelligent, and I'm trying to share that feeling with others.
It would be a tragedy for this movie to get lost in the ocean of indie films that no one ever sees. I don't live anywhere near Seattle, which is where it's having its premiere, and I'm sad about that. I wanted to help. at least check out the trailer and tell me what you think.
thanks
