it is a pretty good movie
the best way i ever heard it decribed was
"porn for gun nuts"
worth a viewing although i have the feeling that some of the more extreme gore is going to be cut
man getting blown in half...guy getting an unexploded rpg stuck though him from the side
eric bana's character is the stand out in it...

It's a ok film, I don't think I could watch in multiple times however. It gets tedious towards the end, the night scenes tend to drag a bit. However somehow Scoot gets us to feel a little empathy for Josh Hartnett, which is a stunning feat in my opinion.
Just be wary of Ewan McGregor's acting in this, possibly the worst I've seen from him.

Scott did an excellent job with this movie. With everything going on, it was still easy to understand and watchable.
Read the book about the event, and I though the writers and Scott did an good job making an very complex book into and easy to understand movie.
It also was shot very well and the sound is fantasitc.

I really like this movie.. it could be down graded a lil on tv though. Be better to sit down with the DVD not just for what would be edited for tv, but also to not be taken out of the atmosphere every commercial break.

I'd say it's rental worthy. I can't imagine watching it enough times for it to be worth the purchase.
Then again... the 3-disc set probably isn't available for rental in many places.
