Most movies which win oscars are crap imo. Im not into the art of acting, just action & cool effects.

Doesn't anyone else think that the oscars should be a three hour telecast of everyone in the room patting themselves on the back? This award show sickens me..and i LOVE movies. How can you judge something so subjective as a film? Who is to say that anyone's performance in Babel was any better than, for example, Jim Carrey's in Ace Ventura. It's a joke. The only statistical (empirical) evidence we have a film's success is a box office number and clearly that isn't the measure of a good film either. There is no substance to the oscar...especially with the amount of politicking that goes into them
