If this film is made in the tradition of trash films like Toxic Avenger, Bubba Ho Tep, and Snakes on the Plane....I'm soooooo friggin there!

I thought the best thing about Beowulf was the 3D action. The rest of the movie was boring. I hope this movie will focus more on the action so I can sit back and enjoy the eye candy. That's all I want.
Here's a site that talks about Dreamworks wanting to utilize the thousands of Stereoscopic 3D theaters that are opening up all over the world. There is a tiny piece of concept art at the top of the page, but it doesn't reveal much at all of a creature called Insectosaurus. http://hollywood-animated-films.sui...ks_gets_into_3d
This link shows the entire picture of the one in the first link. I gotta say, I was a little disappointed in that I wasn't expecting the monsters to look this cartooney, but hey, it still looks like it will be cool. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/13/m...amp;oref=slogin

The designs are.... Not what I expected. That's a disappointment to me, but I'll still watch it, since the idea still sounds good. But the designs....... disappointing.
Yeah, I thought the designs would be a lot more in kin to an Alien and Predator sort of way, not in a Monsters' Ink sort of way. But yeah, the 3D and it's concept will be really cool. I hope.
I was expecting more of a cross between "Beowulf" and "The Incredibles".
For Insectisaurus, I was thinking he'd be like a giant cockroach with teeth, and Bob I expected a fair sized red goo thing that talks telepathically or something.
I'll see it, 'cuz I love the animated stuff, but... am I the only person who isn't all gushy about the 3D revival of late? Is this just one more gimmick so studios can charge even MORE for a ticket, or is there actually a point?
