Re: Help -fast paced old kung fu

This is one of my favorites of the genre: Five Deadly Venoms (1978) Watch it.

The "The Street Fighter (1974)" series with Sonny Chiba are decent and there's a bunch of them.

Master of The Flying Guillotine (1976) is worth the watch in LoLz.

Duel to The Death (1983) is not so much Kung Fu and not so old school, but worth the watch. Epic sword-fight ending.

I've seen a lot, I'll post more as I recall them.

Five Fingers of Death.
Drunken Master II.
One Armed Boxer. (MotFG Rob mentioned above is the sequel to this film.)

Alot of those Shaw Bros films had pretty average choreography I'm struggling to remember the better ones.

Hey Rob do you remember a samurai film about early Chinese occupation of China where at the end the hero had to fight a Samurai who could create blinding light with his sword? The fight took place at night time amongst hundreds of soldiers. I've been struggling to find this one for years.

I posted the links to be sure of the films because the many different titles are confusing and often similar. As my current sig and avvy show I'm a massive Gordon Liu fan and these are some of my favourites. The only problem with these films is that the same scenes are often re-used among them, especially training/fighting montages but the action is pretty decent. The dubbing is hilarious at times with some but isn't that always the case?

laughing Pretty cool kung fu, but the sound effects are a little too over-the-top for me to take it seriously.
