Many to Save the Few

Can you please help me name some movies where a lot of people die to rescue one or two people? Some examples would be Saving Private Ryan - several die to save him; Jurassic Park 3 - many dies to save a little boy

If you're talking about movies with sacrifice, then there are plenty, but these are usually one key person dies to save the life/reputation/allow a person to fulfill his destiny.
Passion of the Christ
Equilibrium
Star Wars; when Obi-Wan dies, when Anakin thinks that he's protecting Padme by killing all the young Jedi, when Padme dies so that Luke and Leia can live.
Titanic; Jack doesn't try to get on the floating board because he's afraid it won't hold both him and Rose - Jack dies, Rose lives.
Jurrassic Park; the hunter sacrifices himself so that the blonde lady can get down and turn the electricity back on

That's a main film in movies - still is.
Hunger Games - Katniss Everdeen volunteers herself to go to certain death so that her sister can remain safe.

Thanks, but I did not mean where a person self-sacrifices to save another as much where the numbers are more skewed. Where several people die to ultimately save one person. Like in Saving Private Ryan a whole handful of people die on their way to save one man. In Jurassic Park 3 5 or so people die to rescue a single boy from the island. Movies that make you wonder if it was worth all the loss for one life
