Saw something about this months ago, but I think I forgot to mention it (still not much on IMDB yet). I am most intrigued. A sci-fi space exploration version of Heart of Darkness...

It's really just backwards but I like the idea of how they made it seem like a completely new direction for an alien-based science fiction plot but its really just not.
