Ghostbusters: Afterlife or Star Wars: The Force Awakens

How would you rate these two movie sequels that have a heavy reliance on nostalgia and being rehashes of the classic movies. Did you enjoy them or were both a complete waste of time to even bother watching.

Afterlife wasn't a Rehash. Force Awakens was which was just stupid because it made no sense.

That said I think Afterlife could have taken a couple of pointers from TFA. Like have a lot more more Bill Murray the way TFA used Harrison Ford.

The Force Awakens was A New Hope 2.0, basically. Lazy writing with no originality. It was almost identical in many aspects. It was disappointing in many levels.

Afterlife is a rehash as it repeated what happen in Ghostbusters 2. the gang is no longer in business and people stopped believing ghosts are real and they have to prove it to everyone again that ghosts do exist and are not a hoex.

Not seen it in a while but IIRC Ghostbusters 2 was a very different film.
