I'll watch anything with Gyllenhaal, solid actor. Plus the nostalgia of this film.
But they should have cast a real actor as the villain. It's like when they cast a rapper in a role and all they do is shit-down the film with their bad acting.
Seen something from director Doug Liman, He's boycotting the SXSW premiere of Road House, To Protest Amazon MGM Bypassing Theaters For Prime Streaming Release.
Well yeah, Its all MGM's fault. You spend all that time making a film expecting it to be a cinema release and the studio decides to put it on streaming.
Still it might be a saving Grace. I can see more ppl sitting at home giving it a chance on a slow day for the lulz than hauling their asses to a theater (and all that entails), to watch something so obviously not great.
This wasn't very good, but still watchable. Some fun camera angles in the fight scenes. Story is as formulaic as they come.
Then Conor McGregor shows up and ruins every scene he's talking in. The man is a god-awful actor. Truly.
I know very little on McGregor as I stopped watching MMA before be made a scene. But does he normally walk like he has a fist permanently lodged up his ass?
The movie was just a watered down Walker Texas Ranger.
