(Thought we had a thread? Search didn't pull it up though.)
Looks decent and better than a lot of the more recent MCU. But I can't stand Florence Pugh's accent, should have let her speak in her native British or an American accent, her sister is the same Russian super-assassin and has an American accent.
That was his biggest problem because there were so many storylines he could have just easily taken care of himself. Instead you had writers trying to write him out of the story so it could proceed and many times it was just by silly means.
More than likely he's "Bob" for most of the movie and has no idea he's Sentry. He'll either transform sporadically or in the final act and after the T-Bolts try to fight him qnd get mopped up, he ends up leaving to figure out who he truly is. There's no way they can make it make sense that any of them can even tickle his nose.
^^^He probably won’t transform till the very end of the movie, at which point he’ll be a very powerful loose end to tie up down the road. Pretty standard.
I completely forgot that Bob was in this until the trailer. Really hope they don't make him the big bad and the Thunderbolts somehow beat him in the end. I know he was in the group under Norman Osborn's Iron Patriot run up until the Siege crossover, maybe he'll actually last and not be an MCU one-off villian?
MCU's been moving in a positive direction since the constant flops. I don't think they'd be dumb enough to throw away the potential money that Sentry could bring in by having him be a one-off.
More than likely, Val Fontaine has found a way to control him and is using him as an enforcer(we see multiple Sentry logo designs and spreadsheets that show potential hairstyles and hair cclors which makes it seem like they're field testing their new sponsored hero. We also see his actual belt buckle and what appears to see transformed Sentry walking down the steps where they meet up in the penthouse), and wants to see if the T-Bolts can function as a team with Sentry at the center. That's why they get set up to meet and escape the room and go out of their way to keep protecting Bob, even though he's already bulletproof in his human form.
It'll probably lead to a Dark Avengers type thing. So he'll be the bad guy, but under the thumb of the real bad guy and either end the movie off fully under her control, or breaking free and flying off to get his head on straight while the MCU builds up and finds a place for him to return to.
