 (big spoilers) can you explain matrix reloaded plot?
I saw the Matrix reloaded last night, and even after discussing the plot with 2 coworkers can't figure out exactly what happened at the end. Any explanation is welcome! Please forgive me for not "getting it" I'm a true sci-fi fan, really...
Questions:
Who is the one guy who survives in the end (the one who cut his hand early on and seems to hate Neo)? I don't get his M.O.
Did everyone in Zion die? That was my impression...
Since Neo is able to stop some digging machines at the end (through mind power) does this mean that "reality" is really another layer of the Matrix?

But the guy with the knife is Smith, he downloaded himself into Bane.Thats why he wants to kill Neo.
Zion hasn't been destroied. Not yet
