Depends. I don't really go to movies anymore- Waste of cash. I may have seen maybe 3 or 4 good movies that were worth $7.95 over the entire summer. I usually dont care what critics have to say but I'm being a little more cautious as to what I see nowadays- so If it gets bad reviews I doubt I'll see it in theaters. If not then maybe I will. cool

It looks like it could be ok. But I've said that about a lot movies and they turned out to be shiiiiit.

Hey, I'm a little iffy on spending money on movies now. the cost of a ticket went up to 14 bucks at my local theatre .. but it went back down to 12 i think. still sorta expensive.. but for halloween, may as well go see some horror movies .. lol..
I think I'm gonna go see Ghost Ship.. and The Ring too. may as well go on a horror movie watching spree lol.

btw, i get Cineplex Odeon gift certificates at Youtopia.com, it's not too hard. just go visit every day. play a game for like a minute, and u get points. maybe worth a try?

I agree with Backfire, all good horror films are the old ones.

The new ones today, you know what's going to happen. That's why a '90's horror film will never be considered scary. Old horror films took situations that you already feared and played on them.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre, okay so it's a little dopey, but lets think about it this way, Leatherface....I would run faster and made sure I didn't try to hide in the shadows if he was behind me.

Psycho, the original. Again be warned I am an Alfred Hitcock fan! But thinking about the little bit of technology he had then and the amount of time spent on the angles for the well-known, "Shower Scene," I know I can't take a shower alone in my house without every door locked and my shower door open.

Face it, black and white gives it the old feeling. Espically for Halloween you really want that old feeling. And throwing a party with these films that you can rent from Blockbuster or any video store for 5 for something like 6 dollars is cheaper than just one movie. Then you still have money to order a pizza and get lots of junk food!

Some recommendations:

If you like the cult genre and musicals, this isn't really only associated with Halloween but for anytime, The Rocky Horror Picture Show. 8 out 10 stars.

The Haunting (Black and White) 8 out of 10

Texas Chainsaw Massacre *stay away from millenum, it was horrible!* 8 1/2 out of 10

The classics all get tens because they are classics: Frankestien, Dracula, The Blob, The Birds

hmm, okay we'll give some new ones a chance, I will admit Signs gave me a little bit of a scare...my boyfriend teases me because I jumped at a particular scene, and it was my second time seeing the film.

I agree Blair Witch didn't scare me. Then again, my best friends and I go camping a lot so...like you said Taperkat.

I wonder if the Ring will be any good....I guess I will see eventually.

Ring. The Japanese original was just called Ring.

yeah r0ckxon, it was a pretty bad film. It didn't even deserve a B rating.
