The Life of David Gale

For the first time in ages I found I had a night free and so Mrs.MM and I went to the cinema and saw this film starring Kevin Spacey and Kate Winslet.

The film revovles around a man on death row (Spacey), facing death for the rape and murder of a colleague with whom he was ironically battling to abolish the death penalty. Over his last few days before his pending execution he calls in a reporter (Winslet) to give his first account of what happened leading up to his arrest. Can she discover the truth in time to save him?

I kinda guessed the plot of the fairly early on but even so the ending was neatly tied up with no loose ends and I felt satisfied. I'll probably buy this film when it comes out, I'd recommend anyone who likes Spacey to see this or rent asap.

8/10

Most of what I heard was that this film was entirely formulaic and you could work out the whole plot in your sleep inside 15 minutes.

The plot was fairly transparent but not to everyone, the woman behind me stated something quite wrong during the last few scenes, she'd got the wrong end of the stick I can tell you!

I liked it, the acting was good and I like the fact that it was neatly finished off too.

it was a nice movie, I've seen it a few weeks back, it was the ending movie of the brussels international fantasy film festival
the plot isn't too hard indeed, but that doesn't make it a bad movie, it still is a good movie to watch
tho I liked Mississippi burning better

Yeah , the plot is made somewhat obvious. But you still don't know exactly how things are going to turn out until the end. I am a huge Kevin Spacey fan and this wasn't one of my favorites but I still enjoyed it.

Alright well I just rented this movie and watched it last night. Apparently it's just me, but I didn't figure out the plot of the movie until everything was unfolding, I loved this movie and I am definitely going to go buy it once I get the chance.

I give this movie a 9 out of 10 wink

Not too Obvious, kept me interested. Well made. The Director did a good job, the flickering words was a good touch too.

I saw it at the weekend for the first time. I just can't belive how dissapointed I was with it. The acting was at best wooden (spacey is up to better than this surely!!!). The story was just so predictable and the end was so obvious.

If you aint seen it yet don't bother...crap
